SUMMARY |
|
During "Just-in-Time' Plain Sailing or Choppy Seas Ahead?" Jean-Paul Dezutter navigated through the concept of Just-in-Time (JIT) and its feasibility within the Dry Bulk sector. He delved into the challenges and opportunities surrounding the application of JIT strategies in bulk shipping and explored the potential benefits of JIT, such as reduced waiting times, reduced emissions, fuel savings, increased efficiency, and minimised costs. |
Additionally, Jean-Paul addressed the practical hurdles and considerations specific to dry bulk transportation, evaluating the adaptability of JIT practices for the dry bulk sector. By examining real-world examples and potential strategies, he assessed whether JIT can indeed facilitate smoother operations or if it presents potential obstacles in the context of dry bulk shipping. |
